Would a producer be interested in just lyrics? Would they be willing to make them into a song?

I have some really great lyrics I just wrote...however Im having a lot
of trouble thinking of music for the lyrics! Nothing is coming to me,
and I've been at it for quite a while. What I really want to do is to
give away my lyrics and see if a pop band (maroon 5 is my idol but I
can dream!) will maybe use them and turn it into a song. I really
want it to be a well known band, but i know its a long shot. I don't
care about money right now, I just want to hear my lyrics be made into
a song! Who should I contact and how should I contact them? And would
they even take them if there is no music to go with? This is my dream
and I would really appreciate it if you would help me out!
Recommendations, experiences, anything would help me out so much!
